Stipend Position:
$100/wk plus housing
part-time

The Contemporary Artists Center, Woodside is seeking a dynamic individual for the live-in position of Artist Services Coordinator.


Artist Services
Interviews begin immediately.
Position starts end of June.

Assists residency artists in both their studio and non-studio needs

  • schedules artist arrival and orientation,
  • assists with tools and materials,
  • keeps facility maintained and in order and provides general hospitality services to artists
  • knowledge of multiple art mediums and methods required. New media a plus.
  • must be patient and attentive.

We have a small office where we all pitch in. Like everyone else, the Artists Services Coordinator will perform a variety of functions as needed.

Applicants with website, design and/or construction experience will be considered first.

Internships

Throughout the year several 3-12 month internships are available, from curation and design to art installation and administrative work. Interns are expected to work 20-25 hours per week. Unfortunately, stipends will not be available for 2011. Interns need not be currently enrolled in a degree program.

Exhibition & installation Interns: The CAC is looking for two interns for the Summer season that will assist in curation and exhibition needs. One intern will need construction skills and/or familiarity with construction tools.

Design & Marketing Intern: One intern will be selected to assist with website and social networking updates, documentation of program activities and general marketing.

 

Volunteer

The CAC always welcomes those interested in volunteering time and talent for our organization. We work with dozens and dozens of volunteers each year, from lawyers and skilled professionals, to gallery docents and students.

On the administration side, office help is always appreciated.
