Unveil – September 19

September 19th
7 – 8pm Exclusive Preview w/ strolling dinner
8 – 10pm main GALA event
10 – 12am Dance Party
For you, for this evening, we have curated a wall-to-wall environment of artwork, food and sound, spanning multiple disciplines and spilling outward into adjacent sites.
There will be dinner if you come early, and dancing and DJ under the stars if you stay late. We’ve put some of the best creative minds together to plan this event and it is shaping up to be quite something. Something new, something different, and something wildly fun. Come join us to see precisely what this something is.
Highlights include:
- An undulating immersive interior landscape by Elise Morin & Clémence Eliard
- A tiny porthole through the wall by Patrick Jacobs
- An installation creation with Pitchfork’s Brandon Stosuy featuring art by Matthew Barney, Lionel Maunz, and Cynthia Daignault
- Artwork selected by Emily Zimmerman with sculpture by Frederick de Wilde & videos by Tameka Norris and Michael Bell-Smith
- Food installation by Theric
- Performances by Paul deJong (The Books)
- A compendium of art selected from the portfolios of the 500 artists who have come to work at Woodside in the last five years
- Dance party with Club Calco
- Video by Glowing Pictures
- Strolling dinner by Peck’s
- Signature beer “Post Pale” brewed for event by Rare Form
Dress for a party but expect an unusual tactile experience as we turn the church into an undone hour glass by covering the exhibition floor with delicate white sand. Mingle. Walk the grounds. Check out the stars. Contemplate the art. Visit the late night food truck. And get ready to dance as the evening winds toward midnight.
