For over a decade, sound artist PETER EDWARDS has been ‘circuit-bending’, that is, making instruments out of the detritus of an electronic childhood.  His hacked dolls, keyboards and electronic gadgets have all found new lives as musical instruments in the hands of some of contemporary music’s masters.  Edwards’ piece for the CAC is his first venture outdoors, into nature.  He has created an installation that directly responds to the surrounding environment. Every night as the sun sets the viewer begins to ‘see’ the sounds around him as they are interpreted and reflected back in an ongoing light and sound orchestration that heightens our awareness of the space we inhabit.
